This is a really cute shot of me and Rob on the Halloween monday at karaoke. We were supposed to dress up as a singer and sing their song. I dressed as a cheerleader and did Mickey by Toni Basil. Rob, Adam, and Brandon dressed as Bartender Carole. It was a hoot! Rob looked the best though.

That's right friends. Sweet Dreams of Cheese was victorious this weekend. Our Leaning Tower of Cheesa won FIRST PLACE!!! Pics will be posted soon I promise. Some I'm waiting to get from other people, some I'm just too lazy to take off my camera. But then yesterday, I lost the Oscar pool. Oh well. Go Marty Scorcese! It's about time. Oh, I finished square 6 for the blanket... that one took a while. March is almost here, which means it's almost time for March Madness! Go Heels! LL

I forgot to write yesterday... was caught up in stuff. It took me over 2 hrs to get home last night... ugh. So I decided to go home instead of doing craft night. I just want to get in my pj's and in bed. And then this morning, I had no hot water! And boy, do I need a shower. Ick. But here I am at work, greasy hair and all. I wanted to go to the Griffith Observatory tonight, but it's so cold, so maybe next week. I have to do that before I leave. Tomorrow is the Grilled Cheese Invitational finally, and we decided to go with the Leaning Tower of Cheesa. I have high hopes for it. Cross your fingers. And then Sunday is the Oscars! Going over to watch them at Kara and Bryan's. Should be fun, we're doing a pool and stuff. later AC Slater. LL

I was trying to rally a team together to go do trivia and collect our winnings from last week, but it doesn't seem like anyone wants to. They're all in luuuuuuuuuv and shit. Bah humbug. I guess I'll just go home and knit and watch American Idol. Last night's performances sucked though. That's all I really have on my mind. It's a boring week. Sometimes that can be nice though. LL

The Grilled Cheese Gods have taken pity on us, and are letting us enter... but we may enter only one sandwich... so we are in the midst of a team vote. I voted for Adam's Leaning Tower of Cheesa, cause it is too funny not to enter. Mine was good, but oh well. Last night was an off night at karaoke, so we didn't stay very long. It was just me, Brandon, and Adam anyway. I did get to sing Say You, Say Me though. It was heartwrenching. Another failed attempt to sell my couch last night. Someone buy it please!!! I need the space so I can start packing/sorting. It's only tuesday. blah. LL

Unlike everyone I know, I don't have today off. Ugh. But I am wearing my Jenna for President shirt in celebration (or maybe protest?). Had a pretty sedate weekend and it was good. It was beautiful too, unlike today when it's all rainy and cold. Sat night, we had our grilled cheese practice. Team Sweet Dreams Are Made of Cheese was in full force. My sandwich was divine, and we named it Chipotle Off the Old Block... of Cheese. Christine's apple and cheese creation was yummy, and we named hers Apple Cheese Brulee Keeps the Doctor Away. But the star of the evening was Adam's 10 layer monster. It was 10 different layers, with 10 diffrerent cheeses, and was at least a foot tall. They even used a blow torch on it. It was named the Leaning Tower of Cheesa. We're sure to win with these delicious and clever concoctions, right? Wrong! We went to register, and we were too late. It was already full. Let's hope it stays that way for the most part until I leave. I need to get my convertible top fixed to truly enjoy it though... Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful. I'll probably still end up watching tv all day. But Sunday is errand day with Marri. And we may see either "Factory Girl" or "Venus". Harper's Carwash rose again at trivia last night. There were just 4 of us, a good number in my opinion, but we got 2nd place!!! So a free appetizer platter for us... oh, we also won free drinks in the drinking round. They had a team cheer contest and ours was the best. woohoo! A happy v day indeed. I officially have 2.5 months left and counting. And so much to do before i go. Or so much that I want to do. Don't have much else to say today. LL

I finally officially told work that I am leaving. My two bosses that is. They guaranteed that I could keep my job as long as I wanted, but are very sad. It turns out they like me, they really like me! And I'm good at what I do. Who knew? Well, I did. Ha ha. Haven't told them an exact end date yet, but 99% sure it will be April 27. I need all the money I can get, especially since I'll be going AT LEAST a week without pay, if not more, depending on the job search. Good news on that front though. The owner of the company told me he'd do what he could to help, and I also had lunch with one of his best friends yesterday who knows a lot of people at Adam & Eve, and he said he'd help too. yay! I got a copy of my credit report today and the good news is it's not as bad as I thought, but the bad news is there are a few negative things on there. oops. I don't know my score, but I hope it doesn't make it difficult to find an apt. I really researched the pod/cub

Last night was a special Valentine's edition of karaoke... so it was supposed to be all love and break up songs. I sang one of each and rocked the house! I sang My Cherie Amour and You're No Good. I will miss karaoke mondays. I'll need to find a group of people in NC to do something like that regularly with. Cause I know the mommies Beth and Katie won't! Haha! Angela, will you save me? I met this guy last night and always the conversation turned to porn. People are so fascinated! Good news on the baby blanket front... I finished the yellow, so one quarter of it is done. I'm ahead of schedule, but still cranking away. Me and Marri went to Knitzilla last night, we hadn't been in a while, and hardly anyone showed up! Maybe they were celebrating Lincoln's bday?? It was weird, but alas we got some good knitting done. Then I took the poker table top I got from work and gave it to Mike. I felt like a gambling angel, he was so excited. Hey, it's me. I abandoned this thing last summer, but I'm gonna give it another go. Mainly to keep you people who I never talk to in my loop. So, a recap since last summer... I'm still at AVN and I still like it, but I have a new boss and he wants me in by 9am if not 8:30 every day. ugh. i'm used to jobs where I get in at 10! but i'm getting used to it, and I can leave earlier. The porn convention and awards last month was a blast. Went to a bunch of parties, and worked in our booth, so I was nonstop and so run down. It was worth it, but I got sick for a week when I got back. I still do karaoke on mondays but not as often. Haven't been hanging out with my "group" as much. Mainly just hang out with Marri and Beige and alone at home with the animals. And I'm pretty ok with it. Wish I was having sex, but you can't have it all. My time to shine will come again I suppose.
