Last night it poured all night. That is just begging for lazyness. I didn't work out, didn't go to game night at maya's, and didn't do anything on my "list". I did take a long nap, order pizza, finish sewing charlie's blanket together, watch tv, and one porn scene. Tonight, I plan on doing more of the same, except I have almost a whole porn to watch and packing to do. I intend on finishing charlie's blanket so I can get it in the mail tomorrow. All i have to do is tuck in the ends and sew on my "hand knit by leslie" label. i only use those labels for "important" items. LL

TROPIC THUNDER! I won't be able to watch it any upcoming weekends, but does anyone want to go see it one weeknight in sept maybe? i am pretty much in town on the weekdays except the 8-12th... give me a shout if ya wanna! this is assuming there are local people reading this... annnnnd assuming i don't get to see it at the outer banks this weekend :) LL

Wasn't I a stinker?

So years ago in NYC, I was this made up lady character for halloween I named Marlene. Last night, I was talking to Jim about my dilemma of having no brilliant halloween costume ideas this year, and I though of good old Marlene. I have decided to resurrect her. Heehee. She was a fun broad. LL

So there's this IT guy at work I had a crush on for a while and tried to get in his good graces, and at times he was just plain rude and oblivious so I gave up. Well, of course now suddenly he's all talking and smiling at me and being generally sweet. He must sense that I am smitten with another and likes the challenge. Too bad IT guy! Men. LL

The Bulls game was fun last night, and we ended up hardly getting rained on! We left the game a little early and met Alice and Chais at Tyler's for a beer. Yummy. I was a teeny bit tipsy though and was very silly. If Jim didn't think I was nuts before, he KNOWs it for sure now. Haha. But in a good way. That's why people love me, right? Can I just say that I think Jim is so frikkin adorable that I would like to stuff him into a cereal box, pour him into a bowl, and eat him with a spoon? But then he would be gone and we don't want that. LL

I got tix for the Durham Beerfest in October today!!! Yay!!! Alice always goes, and the tix sell out quickly. So we went at lunch to get them today. There are like 300 kinds to taste. We are going to the evening session, but it really an all day affair since you have to make sure there is food in zee belly to not get sick, and to brave the line to get in. But yay! Let's all cheer for BEER! LL

So, I got a lot of things checked off "my list" this weekend... I cleaned a bit, reviewed a long movie, knit and sewed. Friday, I hung out with Jim and his roomie Dennis. I had met Dennis years ago a couple of times. It was good to catch up. Saturday, I did some needlefelting which was really cool. I had done a little bit before, but not much. I practiced a bird, and a couple of catnip balls for Brooklyn which she loves. Sunday, I went to String Thing and just got crap done. I finally got something I had wanted for months at Sephora, a lip phone AND a pink retro phone for my upcoming phone hook up. Tonight, I am going to my last Bulls game of the season. Hopefully, the weather will be nice and I can knit and drink beeeeeeer. LL

How people can live without it just baffles me.

After 6 years of not having one, since time warner is basically throwing free phone at me, but I think I need THIS phone in my bedroom. I think I saw them at Urban Outfitters recently... hmmm. I'd love to get a retro pink phone for the living room.

Last night, I went home and took an hr nap, and then I watched tv for an hr and went back to bed at 8:30. ha! sleeping can be oh so fun. This weekend, I am in town for the last time for a month. Tonight, I am hanging with Jim- his momentary lapse in reason is over... and tomorrow, I am needlefelting with some gals, maybe having brunch with caroline, maybe getting a massage, and then whatever. I need to do laundry. Anyone want to offer up their machine? :) Sunday, I will go to String Thing and then watch "When MILFs Attack". Haha. fun. Pretty relaxed weekend. Cause starting next friday, I am off like a prom dress. I got paid today too. Yay! LL

One of our girls, Kayden Kross, very sweet and smart, went to New Zealand this week for an event, and has a had a rough time there. First, she was given a hard time and detained for hours for no real reason upon entering the country. THEN, there was a parade type thing happening, and a drunk crowd guy punched her!!!! I think it's safe to say she won't be going back to NZ. LL

I saw my lady Caroline last night. It was divine to catch up, and hopefully I'll get to see her once again before she leaves. I'll at least see her in a few weeks in NYC!! LL

A couple of weeks ago I couldn't eat enough, and now I have no appetite. what the f? well, i'd rather have my current problem than eating all the time. I have lost 10 pounds since my study started, and i'm at 19,000 lbs per session! LL

I must see this new Rainn Wilson movie. It's probably stupid, but he is awesome. And jeez I am so behind on movies! I've gotten a couple in there, and Wall-e was definitely the best of the year so far, but there's still a long list. Gotta still see The Dark Knight, Stepbrothers, The House Bunny, and yes I want to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 cause I am a dork. And oh yeah, Tropic Thunder. Gotta see that. LL

I was awoken last night to crazy owls in the woods. Multiple owls, not just one. They were hooting like it was a late night owl fiesta. LL

I am so glad I started this blog 4 years ago. I was looking back at my 2004-2005 posts and it's all very interesting to read now. Though I don't put a lot of details on personal stuff, it's still interesting. I just kinda wish I had started when I was with Albie and documented all that engagement episode. Crazyness. LL

It looks like I just may have about 700 minutes of video watching on my upcoming paycheck, that's about $250 bucks or so! yay!! I worked hard for that. I feel dirty. LL

I miss Jim, from the Office, not the real life one, well I miss him too *already*, but you know what I mean! I can't wait for thursday night Office to restart!!!!!! I checked my student loan balance today. I only have $217 left to payoff. Period. So it will AT LEAST be done with normal payments in 4 months or earlier if I can swing it. I can taste the freedom already. Amazing. It took 10 years! LL

I have decided to start posting random posts of "My Favorite Things", or things that make me happy. These are things that no matter what is going on, I am guaranteed to smile. Some are absurd, some are obvious, and some are just plain silly. Kinda like me. And while these things are very nice, they don't include brown paper packages tied up with string (i like color), snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes (that would annoy me), or raindrops on roses (that would just be messy if you picked the roses)... stay tuned... I was wearing the retro apron Liz made me last night. I love that thing. I feel so domesticated in it. Who knew I had THAT in me???? I should flit around and dance with a mop and sing about cleaning. The friday night thing was fun. Like a sleepover without the sleepover part. I had a generally good weekend til the last part, even though I was stuck in durham to conserve gas. Saturday, I received some milk (long story), and then hung out at Alice's for a bit. Sunday, I watched porn and Jim came over to hang out (not at the same time). I Made a little food, which apparently got him sick, and we played video games. Fun! But then he freaked out and high-tailed it out of there, and may as well have had a 10 foot pole in hand. Last weekend was good. I went to Greensboro for a night with the Skains, and then sat went to granite falls for evie's bday party. A fun pool party. Of course, I didn't get in the pool, but it was fun. I'm having knitters over tonight for a yarn and toy swap, and then I'm flat broke so I have no plans! I'm busy at work on several knitting projects, most notably my xmas sweater. I'm almost done with the knitting part, but then it will take a while to do the blocking, sewing, and embellishing. Went to a Durham Bulls game last night. It was a perfect night for it. LL
