Here I am to tell you all about the excitement of my life back 6 months ago now, in June of two thousand and ten! The main focus for me then was my 3rd Annual Stitch N Pitch with the Durham Bulls. To the outsider/attendees, it may have seemed to go off well, but to me... well, I lost some respect for the Durham Bulls organization, and I was exhausted and glad when it was over! It was fun though, though FREAKING HOT! I couldn't knit cause I couldn't seem to cool down. I overheat pretty easily.

The Bulls pissed me off because this is the 3rd year I have done this with them and yet they suddenly had a problem with me putting an Adam & Eve logo item (just a little coin purse this year!) in MY EVENT'S goody bags!! It wasn't a Bulls sponsored event and there was nothing explicit AND I had put something from A&E in the bags both of the previous years with no problems! This was a private event, so I felt like I was being unfairly censored! When it comes to issues of Principle, I get all Norma Rae-like and fight back. Sometimes good and sometimes bad.... anyway the night of the event, I wore an A&E shirt and threw the coin purses to my group in the stands anyway. Nobody said anything to me, cause there was nothing to say. Harumph. Anyway, I haven't decided if I will organize the event again... I may pass the torch. Interested?

Elle got her cataract removed finally, and was flying up and down steps immediately (unfortunately, she now seems to be going legitimately blind...)...

Alice had her NC wedding reception, and me and Jim went and took this cute pic!

Then Jim and I went to West Virginia for Memorial Day weekend to see the boys, Leigh, Chuck, and the animals, etc... one of the cats Cletus has since died, poor thing.

In April, it was my bday and all, no biggie- 34. Me and Jim also attempted a 5K walk... I figured 3miles, simple right? NO. I broke out in hives all over my legs or something. Note these pics... one is me before. one is me after (we quit halfway thru.) and one is one of my swollen itchy legs!

Early in the month, I went to Semora with Jim for Easter. The Easter bunny still found me!!!

In March, I went to see Staci and the Wilsons in Granite Falls while Jim stayed home and did Fantasy Baseball draft or something... and then we went to Vegas for Alice's wedding!!! We stayed at the Encore and had a great time. The suite was awesome, and the wedding was beautiful!

February was pretty slow... FOR ONCE!

Basically, the only highlight of February was Valentine's Weekend, which we actually spent at Jim's parents in Semora, cause I had to take Elle there to get her teeth cleaned. So a romantic v-day dinner at Rock-ola in Danville it was!! Yay!

2010 Begins!!! January was busy as usual.

January was filled with crazyness as always with my job. It started off with Jim's Bday, then my first PartyLite show as a consultant! Then, off to Vegas for the annual adult convention... even the armadillo came for the fun! AND I got to unveil my new knee-hi converse!

Dennis and Jim explored Vegas, CES, and the AEE show, with all it's excitement. It was old news to Jim, but Dennis was amused by the whole experience.

My company won most of the big AVN awards for our big movie, The 8th Day!!! I even went on stage with all my peeps. Good times.

December, as always, was full of excitement! Leigh was on Jeopardy and WON! There were Holiday Parties galore! (Including a drama-filled work party.) Xmas in Charlotte and then Semora, where I introduced Jim's family to my famous mac n cheese! Yum.

November kicked off the holiday season with a busy month. First was Mom's 60th bday, so me and Jim went to CLT and went to a nice dinner with Mom and her friend johnny.

The next weekend was Jim's early Xmas present. I took him to DC to go see his favorite football team for the first time, the Redskins! And they won after several losses in a row. It was beautiful weather too!

The next weekend I was back in CLT to dogsit and I took Meemaw to Drag Bingo cause Johnny was one of the helpers, dressed as Joan Crawford!

Then Thanksgiving was nice. I spent it in Semora with Jim's family. They were introduced to my must-have famous Mac N Cheese.

October was filled with trip after trip after trip. First, I went to Myrtle Beach with Staci and friends for a girls crafty weekend. (Staci and Amy look really enthused in the pic!)

My biggest trip was to Nashville, where I was able to see one of my favorite dogs, Barnaby, and meet Baby Lady Yvie. Also got to go to Nathan's amazing haunted house. Very cool. Lady time is always cool.

I was also introduced to Partylite products, and am now addicted, and have opened my own business as a Partylite Independent Consultant. Support me by making an order thru my website (www.partylite.biz/leslielimerick) or booking a show!

Finally, I went to SAFF in Asheville, my first yarn show. It was awesome. And LOTS of adorable yarn producing animals, including a very special baby llama (pictured) and a sheep named Clara. I even learned to spin my own yarn!

Labor Day weekend me and Jim and a friend of his went to the awesome Carolina Professional Alumni Basketball game at the Dean Dome. It was to kickoff the 100th anniversary of Carolina basketball. It was fun. Especially since there was no "enemy" team. Everyone cheered for everyone and the game was over really quickly. Michael Jordan was also there and recognized for finally getting into the Basketball Hall of Fame. And the 2009 NCAA Championship banner was unveiled. Good times.

The next weekend I went to the beach (Oak Island) with my knitting group, Girls With Purls. It was fun. I got a lot of knitting done AND a fabulous yarn wreath for year-round.

Then came the move. I have moved into a friend in my knitting group's house. She has saved me from eviction basically. Me and Jim prepped the room with fresh light green cozy paint. I have a cozy nook, and am *almost* settled. Can't say the cat is though. There are already 4 cats there so my little psycho queen bee has to learn about sharing. Ha.

August was good times. My dad turned 65. Not that I was there. And I had a couple of trips. Surprise surprise. I went to WV to see the Roseneckers. It was Chucks bday too, and we went to an old cool amusement park in Pittsburgh called Kennywood. Charlie had his first haircut and I finally got to stop at the New River Gorge.

Then I went to Vegas with some Ladies. Good times ensued. I also got a new roommate, who promptly moved out due to my psycho cat. Life has been crazy since. More on that later. Don't want to spoil future months!!! :)

We started July by having a 4th of July cookout in Semora with jim's family. It was a nice summer day.

The next weekend, we went to Alice and Chais' engagement party. it was her bday too. Mosquitos ate me alive, but it was a grand vegan time!

The weekend of July 18th, Staci and Amy came to visit for Staci's bday. We showed Amy all around Chapel Hill and campus, and even met up with Jenny. And we got to meet her little boy, owen. He is so freakin cute!!!

The last weekend was me and Jim's YEAR anniversary, so went to see Jeremy and Staci in granite falls and then to blowing rock/ boone for romantic times/ tubing down the New River. One of these pics is of a freaky tree that looks like its humping.

Another exciting thing was that we put together my glass cabinet finally, so now it's like my very own yarn store!!!

I'm trying to catch up I swear! So here's the June lowdown... At the beginning of June, I met up with the Ladies for a girls weekend in Nashville. Brinn was about to pop, and we needed to get Kiki's mind off things. It was superfun! We gave Brinn some baby goodies, hung out at the pool, and I got my first "big girl" purse at the Coach outlet.

The next weekend was Erotica LA. I went to LA, and did the same old same old at the show. We had the FAME awards and it was good. I even got to see Julie and Pete!

End of May Durham Bulls Game

Me and Jim took Elle to a special baseball game sponsored by the SPCA. My friend Andrea came with her furbaby too. It was fun.

The best part was Elle won the contest for BEST KISSER! Dont ask what I had to do to win. All she won was a big pink toy. She used it as a pillow on the way home.

Memorial Day weekend

Me and Jim went with a big group of his friends and their families to the beach for the long weekend in May. Got a little sun, had some fun, and most importantly, had several "outdoor" showers. I love outdoor showers.

Didnt really get any pics, but i did take one of this Barbie scene someone had in their front yard. It was very odd, yet awesome.

So I think I will split each event into its own post. I have a lot of pics. First was Leigh and the fam's sudden visit to my apt. They were supposed to go to charlotte and me and jim were gonna go down to see them for a night, but mom's washer burst and flooded her condo. So they all came to stay with me. Since I dont have a roommate yet I had room luckily. Even mom and meemaw came but they stayed in a hotel. The boys have grown so much and are so cute!!! Hope to see them again this summer sometime.

The first weekend in April I went to Charlotte with my knitting group to explore yarn stores and the new Ikea. Elle had a good time with Jammy and had a nice moment in a swing.

Easter weekend Me and Jim went to visit Brinn in Nashville and to see Flight of the Conchords in concert. It was awesome. And it was great to see her sweet dog Barnaby!

Then I moved into a new apt in my complex.

Then it was my bday! A pretty sedate one but fun all the same.

So 2009 started off with Jim's bday on New Years... then the next week I went to the porn convention in Vegas and Jim met me out there! We had a blast, and Jim got a taste of what I do. Bree looked innocent and pure in her fairy tale gown for the awards. We know the truth. :)

Later on in Jan, we went to see President Clinton speak at NC State. He inspired me to live a better life... at least for a few days.

So in December, I went to WV for xmas to see Leigh, Chuck, and the boys. As always both boys had grown quite a lot.

Santa brought Colin a cool red beanbag chair that he loved immediately. Charlie liked it too. Aunt Leslie gave him a Curious George stuffed animal. He went nuts, cause he loves him some Curious George!! Aunt Leslie is the coolest.

Valentines Day was awesome! Me and Jim had a pretty calm day, and it was perfect. He gave me roses, godiva, and a cute stuffed sheep. I will cuddle with it when I dont have him there to cuddle with!

Went to Williamsburg with DJ, Alice, and Chais this past weekend. I hadn't been there in years, and we saw the colonial/ historical stuff. It was very pretty. I want to go back in the spring to go to Busch Gardens though. We'll see if that happens.

My gloriously smart boy fixed my electronic setup yesterday!!!! My router had been "broken" for over 3 years, and he fixed it and now my computer can be wireless again AND tivo can be hooked up at the same time.... speaking of wires, he fixed the jumble of wires behind my tv too, so everything is hooked up correctly and neatly. So in case you don't talk to me much, I had an interesting week. Weds, I fell down the stairs at work. I didn't break anything but I was badly bruised and was sore until yesterday. I still have evidence, but luckily not in pain any more. Also luckily, DJ took care of me some. I ended up taking a day and a half off work.

Besides that, I had a good weekend. Did some stuff with DJ, some crafts, some cleaning, some porn reviewing, etc... Alice had her housewarming party and was dressed divinely in a dress she borrowed from moi. She looked very domestic.

This week, I have some crafts to finish (sex toy decorating and xmas sweater still), and then this weekend is my first BEERFEST. Yay! Should be fun.

with my girls (with purls). I love those purl girls. We stayed at an awesome house i found in oak island, very close to southport. We went to a great yarn store in southport too. I was good and didn't buy *too* much. Don't have much time to knit these days anyway!!

I didn't even make it to the sand though. Supposedly it was beautiful and the water was perfect, but I laid eyes on an extremely comfy recliner when i walked in the house and basically didn't move much from it whenever we were at the house.

I missed DJ like crazy, but I will be in town the next couple of weekends at least so that's good.

What a week.

So first of all, New Jersey is a horrible horrible place.

I went to NYC monday night and spent tuesday shopping with caroline which was lovely. I ate at Mama's (yum!) and at John's Pizza (yum!), and saw Ginny. Then we went to see Xanadu on broadway. awesome!

Weds, I had lunch with matt and dinner with justin and then i was off to new jersey. The hotel in New Brunswick was good, but it took so long to drive anywhere. We had to take car services everywhere.

Thurs, we went into the city for a radio show- Opie and Anthony. Bree jerked some dude off on the air. That was... interesting. I love that girl though. That night she stripped at a club in NJ, and she shook her boobs in my face. We bonded.

Friday, we went back to the city for another radio show. This time, Bree was hypnotized, which was crazy. Then off to NJ for the convention and the masses of porn fans. Then the girls signed thru sunday.

Last night, I went out with DJ. Yay! He is fadorable. I am slightly giddy today.

Friday me and Kiki went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. Haha. total chick flick. it was cute. saturday, we went to some really cool vintage stores and such and i got a real cool western-style shirt. i can't wait to wear it with my red snakeskin cowboy boots!

sat eve, me, kiki, and her man phillip went to downtown to see the honky tonks and stuff. it's a really cool strip of live music everywhere. and there were bats in the trees. tons of flying squeaking bats. it was trippy.

sunday, we had a lazy lady day and went shopping a little bit. i got some really cute pj pants with an owl on them, and a few cute things from old navy.

well, now i'm at work and in trip limbo. i am supposed to fly out to nyc tonight to hang out for a couple of days and then there is a trade show we were going to in northern nj... well, suddenly the mayor of the nj town is trying to get it canceled... bastard. it's been planned for months. they are having a press conference today so i am just kinda waiting for word before i make a go or not go today decision. if i go and it's gets canceled i'd end up having to pay for the ticket myself and taking vacation. don't want to do that... boo. we shall see what unfolds.

Relaxing Labor day weekend

I slept about 14 hrs each night over the weekend at the outer banks. I didn't do much of anything else except go to the beach for a couple of hrs on saturday. it was nice. when i got back, I finally went to see Tropic Thunder, and I was pleased. Went with DJ. Now this week, I have to prep for the next back to back trips. Which means I need to do laundry. blagh.

Lazy rainy night...

Last night it poured all night. That is just begging for lazyness. I didn't work out, didn't go to game night at maya's, and didn't do anything on my "list". I did take a long nap, order pizza, finish sewing charlie's blanket together, watch tv, and one porn scene.

Tonight, I plan on doing more of the same, except I have almost a whole porn to watch and packing to do. I intend on finishing charlie's blanket so I can get it in the mail tomorrow. All i have to do is tuck in the ends and sew on my "hand knit by leslie" label. i only use those labels for "important" items.
