Beautiful Mommy and her cub... With Daddy... Eat the rat! Poopy face!

LA had it's ups and downs, but was fun overall. I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance to breathe, aka sleep. I got home at midnight last night and Brooklyn kept me up ALL night purring on my face. She had been really lonely. I picked up Elle and dropped her at home this morning, so hoepfully they are happy to be together. The vet was so sad to let go of Elle though. She certainly does not lack for attention there. I got to LA Weds eve, and then went to San Diego late thurs night. We then spent friday at the zoo, which rocked. I would like to go tot the Wild Animal park though. Saturday we went to the wedding and Brinn and the Ladies were so beautiful! Monday, I hung out at AVN for a while, and went to karaoke that night. I rocked of course. More later. LL

I am leaving tomorrow for LA/Brinn's wedding. Yay! I'll be there almost a week. This weekend I'll be in the mtns for the wedding, and thurs night/fri in San Diego at the zoo. I have so much to do tonight. Anyway, the weekend was a whirlwind at Leigh's. i"m proud of her for getting rid of so much stuff. Colin is cute as a button of course. Until next week... LL

I'm driving to Leigh's today for the weekend. Gonna help them with their moving sale. The kicker is they've already moved the "real" stuff, so I'm taking chairs, my airbed, bedding, and a towel! Never gone on a trip with that kind of stuff before. Ravelry is so awesome. Hopefully after LA, i'll actually have good time to go on... There's not much I can do at work without my supplies written down. It'll take time to write down my stash!! Have a good weekend everybody! LL

Got my invite to Ravelry yesterday. So many hours will be spent on there. I was at my friend Diana's last night, but I used her computer and started filling my "library" on there with books I remember I have. I can put my needles/hooks, yarn stash, projects, etc on there!!! LL

i had orientation for Duke all day yesterday. It was so freakin boring and this weird trashy girl decided to cling to me all day. I did get a lot of crochet done though on Cupcake. I had a great time in Charlotte. Tuesday Morning was having a great sale, so I started stockpiling Xmas presents. I also went to this dollhouse/miniature store that I always want to stop at, but it's usually closed. Well, it was open, and it was awesome. I had gone there when I was like 10 or so cause I was gonna do a dollhouse and never did. Anyway, I love little stuff, so I decided to do a "scene" of a dream room. I got this awesome mini velvet lip couch, a mini Elvis record, a mini King Kong and Seven Year Itch poster, a mini Marilyn monroe pin up calendar, and some other cute stuff. I also got mini crafty type things to make a little scene when I have a store. Little mini skeins of yarn and bolts of fabric and a dressform and cool stuff. I'll post pics soon. I have to charge my camera b...

Gonna go to see Mom tonight after work. Hopefully I'll be able to finish my bunny slippers, and maybe my denim skirt. Went to Diana's for craft night last night and a record 4 of us came!! It was fun. I got about 3 inches done on the back of Cupcake. Oh, and I am so addicted to Guitar Hero. As I knew I would be. Have a good weekend! LL

It's been an eventful week in good and bad ways. Tues, I got an intestinal attack for a few hrs at work. It was awful. Then, yesterday, I had a screw in a tire on my car. It was easy to fix though. Then last night, i had my otehr crochet class, and I learned the treble stitch, granny squares, circles, spirals, and little urchin like things called bouillons!! It's like a whole worl of possibility opened!! After my bunny slippers I'm gonna make a crochet top from the Happy hooker book, to see how I fare at a real garment. It's appropriately called Cupcake. I also found a dress to wear to the weddings I'm going to this fall, and it was cheap! Yay!! One less thing to worry about. Tonight is the premiere of Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, and the Office. Yippeee!!!!!!!! LL

I went to Afternoon Tea with the knitters on Saturday, and it was a blast. We wore hats and sipped tea and nibbled delicious finger foods. Then, Sunday I met one of the knitters at the movies and we saw Becoming Jane, about Jane Austen. It was really good, and the guy was H-O-T! BUT I when I left the theatre I started sobbing and cried all the way home. Don't see this movie unless you're prepared to cry!!! I actually didn't end up crocheting too much over the weekend, but I did sew all of the first one toegther and am now working on the second. I also bought a billion buttons, some of which will be bunny eyes. I'm going to Charlotte this weekend, so it's good timing to throw the bunny slippers in the wash to fluff or felt, whatever happens to them, before adding the faces. I am attempting to exercise tonight. Wish me luck. LL

I was saddened today with the news of a friend's death in California. She has apparently been very sick for a couple of weeks and died yesterday. She was 34. So awful. She had 4 kids and a husband. Wish I could go to the funeral. LL

As of Monday, i will be permanent, with all the great Duke benefits that go with it. Yay!! I know my Dad is happy. I arranged afternoon tea at a cute tea room with the knitters tomorrow. Should be fun! The rest of the weekend will be spent mainly crocheting!!! oh, and still putting bedroom and closet back together... LL

I took a crochet lesson last night and I love it!! I have another lesson next week, but I got enough of the basics down to start making the bunny slippers I want so bad. I started on a practice one last night. I already have the inside sole done for one! Let's see how far I can get without help... LL

Last night, I was awoken by the sound of owls hooting back and forth. It was cool. Elle was barking though. Maybe I can adopt some to be my postal owls like in Harry Potter. This weekend was beautiful! and today I actually put a jacket on. It's awesome! But I don't want it to get any colder... I think I need to buy some sweaters for the winter. LL

Yesterday was a lonely day. I just felt an abnormal need to hang out with people, but i couldn't find anybody to go to lunch with me, and noone showed up to craft night. Oh well. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I have virtually no plans except to do some errands and clean my apt. I did the laundry/pet room last night, and in turn the dining room, living room, and sunroom since that's where all the laundry room stuff had been living. On to the bathroom!!! I tried to take my first bubble bath, and found out that my tub stopper is broken. Argh. I submitted a maintenance request, but I'm sure that's not considered high priority. LL
