2012 ended up pretty good, after not having a job for so so long I got a contract/ temp position at Progress Energy. The day I started was actually the day of their merger with Duke Energy so my whole time there was a little crazy... at least to those who had been there prior. The company was going through lots of policy and um, staffing changes. I was still hitting it hard with PartyLite too, so I went to the Summer national conference in St Louis. Of course, a good time was had by all and lots of sniffin candles. Around that same time, Jim and I had our 4 year dating anniversary! Four whole years with the same man? It MUST be love. And it was. That fall, we participated with friends in the Cary Scavenger Hunt, I did my first Wine and Design type event, and went to SAFF again with my knitting group. I got my annual llama kiss. Soooooo.... yeah..... I keep neglecting. I may never catch up, which is my goal, so I can start posting regularly again. Life is just crazy busy you know? Well, you don't cause I haven't posted. Maybe you will find out what's going on in 2015 in 2017? Anyway, the focus now is Jan to June 2012! here it goes! Generally, in 2012 this is what was happening- Jim and I were together 4 years, I'm still selling Partylite a lot since I didnt have a full time job again yet, I was teaching and working at Yarns Etc in Chapel Hill. In January of 2012, Jim and I went for a romantic weekend getaway to Wilmington NC. We stayed at a lovely little inn. I don't know the name of it now tho. In March, little did I know I would be introduced to a new non-profit org that would affect my life so heavily, the Cary Creative reuse Center. It's a place that takes donations of materials from the community to keep them out of the landfill and give them a new life upcycled into arts and...

I'm a stickler for being chronological, so this post is actually over 3 years late now. Maybe this time, my attempt to catch up and revive my blog will work? Time will tell. Of course, a LOT has changed in my life since 2011, but let me keep skimming through time and maybe one day I will catch up. This is more of a general archive of life now than entertainment, right? In the second half of 2011, I was still unemployed, though still a PartyLite consultant, and working and teaching at a yarn store. Jim and I had our 3 year anniversary, and I actually made some headway with my Partylite thing by becoming a Unit Leader (that lasted about a year in case I don't mention it later)... Being a sort of lady of leisure I had many trips visiting people and some truly vacations. I went to West Virginia to see Leigh and the boys a couple of times. I continued my PartyLite business... in January I went to Charlotte for a Consultant retreat, I did several large vendor fairs, and even went as a Future Leader to Leavenworth, WA for a retreat. We call it Leaderschnitzel, since Leavenworth is a German-themed town! It was awesome. Life wasn't great at work those days, I was stressed out all the time because for some reason my boss decided he hated me... so in March of 2011 when they accused me of stealing, I quit the porn business. August 2010 was a resting month after the whirlwind July! I'm sure something spectacular happened, but I don't remember now... September there were a couple of small trips- first, Jim and I went to DC to go to the Air & Space museum at Dulles (awesome!) and the Smithsonian... I also went to the beach with my knitting group, Girls With Purls... October was pretty exciting. Not only was there Halloween (don't think I did anything special...) but we went to NYC and then I went to Asheville for SAFF again. In NYC, we stayed with Caroline in the South Bronx, went to a broadway show and played tourist. I got to show Jim "my New York"... sometimes I miss it! I also made my OWN Muppet who looks like Barbara Streisand and I named Lady Contessa McSchtikal hee hee SAFF was fun, we hosted the friday night party again, and I got a fun purple wig at the wig shop! So I know some people will think this stuff is way old news, but some may never have heard of these things- or seen the pics- before... I don't want to just mysteriously jump across time 2 years, so I want to cram in 2010 to present in an overview at least... so enjoy catching up with me. Maybe one day you will actually know when something happens WHEN it happens!! So here is a rundown of the last half of 2010 with pics in no particular order... I will let you try to figure out what pic goes with what event! July 2010- July of 2010 was buuuuuuusssssyyyy! I remember clearly. I had 4 trips! It started with a week at the beach with the "Natureboys" and families over July 4th week. Here I am to tell you all about the excitement of my life back 6 months ago now, in June of two thousand and ten! The main focus for me then was my 3rd Annual Stitch N Pitch with the Durham Bulls. To the outsider/attendees, it may have seemed to go off well, but to me... well, I lost some respect for the Durham Bulls organization, and I was exhausted and glad when it was over! It was fun though, though FREAKING HOT! I couldn't knit cause I couldn't seem to cool down. I overheat pretty easily. The Bulls pissed me off because this is the 3rd year I have done this with them and yet they suddenly had a problem with me putting an Adam & Eve logo item (just a little coin purse this year!) in MY EVENT'S goody bags!! It wasn't a Bulls sponsored event and there was nothing explicit AND I had put something from A&E in the bags both of the previous years with no problems! Elle got her cataract removed finally, and was flying up and down steps immediately (unfortunately, she now seems to be going legitimately blind...)... Alice had her NC wedding reception, and me and Jim went and took this cute pic! Then Jim and I went to West Virginia for Memorial Day weekend to see the boys, Leigh, Chuck, and the animals, etc... one of the cats Cletus has since died, poor thing.
