Better late than never... Late 2012 recap here
2012 ended up pretty good, after not having a job for so so long I got a contract/ temp position at Progress Energy. The day I started was actually the day of their merger with Duke Energy so my whole time there was a little crazy... at least to those who had been there prior. The company was going through lots of policy and um, staffing changes.
I was still hitting it hard with PartyLite too, so I went to the Summer national conference in St Louis. Of course, a good time was had by all and lots of sniffin candles. Around that same time, Jim and I had our 4 year dating anniversary! Four whole years with the same man? It MUST be love. And it was.
That fall, we participated with friends in the Cary Scavenger Hunt, I did my first Wine and Design type event, and went to SAFF again with my knitting group. I got my annual llama kiss.
My mom's side of the family went to the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving, so Jim and I went too. As always, it was a little crazy but even Leigh and the boys went! Get several generations of the Vann family tree together, and chaos always follows. Dysfunction at its best!
Around Christmas, I did my first formal craft fair with my friend Martha. I mainly sold fingerless gloves and swiffer covers. We did pretty well, but I STILL have some left--- some 3 years later! If anyone is interested, let me know! I'll give you a good price!
