For two weeks! I prob won't write on this much over the break, so Happy Holidays, Happy New Year! Hope 2005 is even BETTER than 2004... maybe I won't get dumped so much... Ha! LL

Oh my god. My little sister is an "adult". She turns 18 today. SHe said she already bought a pack of cigarettes just because she could. She better not smoke them!! UNC moved up a couple places in the basketball rankings this week! Now we're 6. Keep on going boys. My mom said the low was in the 20s in Charlotte yesterday. Ew. Not looking forward to THAT!! I had the top down today! Oy Vey. LL

So NOW my NC trip is a trip all around the Southeast... I start in Raleigh, then go to DC, then maybe even to WV before I go to Charlotte and then back to Raleigh... a lot of freaking driving. Good thing Elle is OK in cars. We'll see. I may have to make some game time decisions... My holiday party is on Friday. I hope people come! We had our film mtg last night at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles... finallly got to go to the most famous soul food place in LA! Had some good MAc and Cheese and Corn Bread. MMMMMM...carbs. LL

Elle and I have fallen in love with a calico kitten, so we are adopting her after the holidays!! yay! A buddy for Elle. I saw Kinsey over the weekend. Pretty good, but very graphic... Liam was great though. Did the looong drive thru the Griffith Park lights yesterday with Marri and Beige. They were great. That's all. LL

Thank God It's ACTUALLY Friday! Was supposed to go see Life Aquatic tonight, but it looks like it's sold out... we'll see. Maybe another movie... Just made plans to go to the UNC bowl game on the 30th in Charlotte. Should be fun. Tailgating at GC's first, and it IS right down the street from my Mom's... Mark and Beth are going, and Wayne too! This week is going by soooo slow. One more week to go before vaca. LL

Leigh is 34 today! Whoa! That means 30 isn't too far off for me... never thought i'd ever be 30. That's a REAL adult. I'm knitting a pillow and it's taking much longer than i thought it would.... and i only have 2 weeks left to do it... i set my knitting aspirations too high for the holidays. So feel lucky if you get something knitted from me! It's a lot of work. Having said that, back to work... LL

I tried writing yesterday, but it didn't work... So, I had a crazy weekend. Friday night, we had our big party, which was oodles of fun, and i was very drunk, in a good way. But then the bar decided to renig on our shooting deal, so now we have to find a new location for january... Saturday, after 3 hrs of sleep, we had our yard sale, and it was filled with excitement. There was a fight between two men over the box of porn we were selling. It was crazy. Then later, a tv crew came from A and E's Find and Design, a home makeover show and filmed our yard sale and got lots of footage of Elle in her pink coat. They loved her. Elle is on her way to stardom. I'll let you know when it airs. Sunday was a cold, nasty, rainy day, but i went with Marri to see Bridget Jones. It was cute. Another movie checked off my list... still many more to see. Maybe Wayne or Mom will go with me in NC. LL

So much for rest. I haven't even thought about this thing almost all week. I've been so busy. Phone calls, etc for this film, mainly. Got the party and the yard sale this weekend, so i had to cancel on Amber for Vegas! I'm very sad, you know how i love Vegas. There's still so much to do there, like marry a high roller.... or Britney Spears. Ha. Or no, she's not divorced yet. How about Nicky Hilton? So this thigh trainer thing i got is awesome. i've been doing 5 min a day, what it recommends to start, this week, and i can feeeeeel it majorly. I just hop on in front of the tv and go! I can't stop eating christmas cookies. I have a cookie problem. I was having major PMS this week, but that's over now. thank goodness. LL

Was very sad to return to work today. Made significant strides in my knitting projects over the weekend... got some cleaning and organizing done, got some film work done, and the thanksgiving meal was awesome. I made wonderful goodies... oh that reminds me, i have leftovers to eat. Before we ate on thurs, we made hand turkeys, colored, and decorated christmas cookies. Yay! LL

been a looooooong short week. gonna try to be productive this weekend, but i'll probably end up being lazy. we'll see. i have a lot to do that's for sure. i'm making a peppermint oreo cheesecake for tomorrow, among other things. mmmmmmmmmmm. Happy Thanksgiving. LL

Wow! I have actually had to work work work today. Have not had time for anything else until now. Have not knit a stitch. Not one. Glad it's a short week. My chest pain is gone. That was weird. Saw the new movie Sideways yesterday. It be good. Go see. Gotta go to the grocery store to get shit for thanksgiving tonight. So, with tat and my long day, I'm too pooped to work out. Oh yeah. I hate my hair. I got bangs. Ew. LL

So, i think i pulled a muscle or something in my chest, cause i was up all night with sharp pains in my left chest, and it still hurts. it sucks. guess i won't be working out tonight... but i will be stretching, cause that seems to help some. i have been popping 800mg ibuprofen like nothing you've ever seen. my coworker had surgery and got vicodin yesterday. i'm jealous. mmm, vicodin. oh yeah? well, i have ambien, so nyah. Happy Friday. Another week down. yay, and next week is short. yay! LL

I need to do laundry. I'm hungry. Elle stinks. The new Muppets stamps come out in March and they are really cool. I love my new moisturizer, the Clinique stuff. Another person left my company. I am excited about thanksgiving dinner next week. Those were just some random thoughts. LL

Yay!! Good thing too, cause I spent a lot of money this weekend! I bought this really cool 50s cabinet for my DVDS though. I love it!! And I got some cool vintage clothes, and a coat for Elle, and some cool makeup and stuff at Sephora! And I just made a Disney DVD order for 20 DVDs! Woo hoo! I am nearing 250 DVDs! And now I have a place to put them. Patrick and I had a fun weekend. We went to the Universal Backlot sale and got a couple of little things from movies. He left this morning. Sad. My poor mom. She's recovering from her first hand surgery, and now her second is Dec 14th... so, xmas i'll have to help her out a lot. And i'll get to see Wayne and others in NC! Yay! Katie will be a fattie mcfatso by then with Eliza Anne growing faster and faster i'm sure. Brinn has asked me to be a producer on her short film she is directing. That'll be fun, and may establish some resources for TouteSuite at the same time. It'll give me something to do besides knitting. After xmas, i'm gonna try to start selling my knitting though. we'll see how that goes. Me and Patrick are gonna have a blast this week. Today he took the train south to see some friends, and tonight we'll have dinner. I'm gonna work out again. LL

We're gonna have a fun week! May even go somewhere cool this weekend... too bad i spent all my money last weekend. I'm still doing well as far as my workout regiment. I worked out 4 days last week, and yesterday... Patrick may throw a wrench in my schedule, but oh well... guess i'll be fat forever. Yesterday, I ordered a thigh training machine... we'll see if it works... i hope i'm not another as seen on tv victim! Can i just say how much i love the self checkouts at some grocery stores these days? they rock. and it reminds me of playing store as a kid. LL

Gee, it was a down weekend. I was very depressed for some unknown reason, so all i did pretty much was sleep, shop, and sleep. Beige, Mike, and Marrielle did come over Sat night to watch "Election" and eat some pizza, but that was the extent of the social side of me for the most part. I spent waaaaaay too much money, though most of my xmas shopping is done... and i didn't even arise form my bed til 6PM yesterday!! Then went back to bed at 10.... i need something. don't know what, but something. Patrick comes tomorrow, so that will occupy me for the week at least. what is wrong with me? why am i so unhappy all the time? sniff sniff and i was absolutely in tears watching American Dreams last night! I just got some fabulous knitting needles. A set of interchangable needles, in most average sizes! I'll hardly ever have to buy needles again! I started a dog sweater today. It may end up being too big, we'll see. The OC premiere was all I dreamed it would be. It was way cheesy and way stupid. I love it! Sydney wasn't all that enthused about it. I have TWO parties to go to this weekend! Brinn's fundraising party for a film is tonight, and Jessica's bday party is tomorrow! Fun fun! LL

What's up people? Yay! I'm going to Vegas AGAIN! Dec 2nd-5th, i am joining miss amber from NC in sin city for another weekend of fun and throwing away money! Alright! I can't believe it's already November! Did I mention that? I've been working on my target wish list. I want everything you know. I already have 75% of my xmas shopping done, and i'm like what now? The only people left are the hard ones like Dad. Inspiration will strike I know it. I do have about 2 months though!!! Ha! So, it turns out I may be able to have insurance take car of that car rental snafu after all. Dad doesn't know what he's talking about. May save me some moolah.... but I just have to put it towards the Silver Lady. I have worked out the last three days in a row! Aren't you proud of me? I am a bit tired and sore today, so i am giving myself the night off. After all, it is craft night and the premiere of the OC!! LL

Voting this morning was an unpleasant experience. But I have done my American duty. The poll workers were all Grade A dumbasses. Anyway... I'm having a weird day. I can't stop eating. Have u ever had those inside out reese's cups? They're weird. Taste fine, but weird. Now i'm on to sunflower seeds. Maybe i'll sprout flowers in my intestines. Ok, that was a bad joke. If you can call it a joke. Last night, I started working out again after not for like 4 months. Let's hope I keep it up. Gotta start combatting the holidays now! I have to pay 400 bucks for damage I did to my rental car on my NC trip. Ech. Guess I won't be fixing my own car that much longer. I'm just writing crap here. Tell me if you get bored. So it was a funfilled Halloween weekend. I was Snow White Sat AND Sun nights! It was the best time yet. One day i WILL be Scarlett. I command it. I already have the hat. I just need the corset, shoes, petticoat, hoop skirt, blah blah blah, and a little incidental called the dress. One day. I swear it will be done. Now back to our regularly scheduled program... my tuna melt. mmmm. LL

I have officially leapt into the world of advanced knitting.... it's no longer pouring out of me like magic. I now have to think about every stitch I do so I don't screw up the whole piece! But I'm doing much more impressive work, and will have some happy recipients come christmastime. Will you be one of them??? Maybe so, maybe no. Haha! Only 5 days til Election Day! I wonder how long it will take to figure out the "real" winner this time? Care to put in guesses? I was watching 60 Minutes last night, and they were talking about all the potential problems and issues with the new electronic voting, and since California gets to choose paper or plastic, so to speak.... i'm definitely choosing paper. I suggest you do the same. I feel like the Election is more like a reality show where someone gets voted off... hopefully it won't be too manipulated. LL

Because it was a little wet on the roads last night, not even raining, it took me 2.5 hours to get home last night!!!! That is ridiculous. I'm gonna try a different route home tonight to avoid the freeways. Wish me luck. I have a Halloween party to go to on Saturday night, yay! So, I gave Beth a custom made hoodie for her bday, with NOLA written on it, for New Orleans, LA... but anyway, I digress... the guy who packed it at the company wrote a limerick about it in honor of me. God, Apple is always improving their shit. My piddly little 10GB ipod is soooooo out of date now. Have you seen these new color screen music and PHOTO ipods??? And they also have this special edition U2 themed ipod, i guess for big U2 fans... it's black and red and has signatures on the back.... check out these fab new mac goodies at www.apple.com... the 40GB photo ipod is now a must have for me.... but since it's 500 bucks and i have many other financial obligations with cars, etc, it may be a while, and by that time, they'll have improved it again i'm sure!! Anyway... if anyone wins the lottery, I would like the new 60GB ipod as my xmas present. Hee hee. LL Oh, and it's supposed to rain again the next two days in LA. What is going on?

I am now officially closer to age 29 than to 28. Oh boy. Why has hardly anyone done my questionaire posted below? Do it people! It's imperative to my survival as your friend. Whitney and Angela were here this weekend, which provided a great distraction from my grandfather. We went all over the place! Angela's brother and his roommate from San Diego also came up, so if you were wondering how many people could sleep in my one room apartment, the answer is 5! It can be done. We went to the Gavin Degraw/ michael Tolcher concert at the House of Blues, which was good. Not the kind of music i would listen to regularly, but really good live. So, my grandfather died on Friday. I am very sad. luckily, I had some distractions this weekend. I am upset that he will never get to meet Elle, cause he loved animals and the family pets so much. My love of animals definitely came from him. The days of geese, swans, chickens, ducks, peacocks, etc are officially over. Those were the days. I remember staying with them in the summers and trying to teach my chickens to talk so i could take them on Johnny Carson. I thought I was gonna be the next Dr Doolittle. Granddaddy was a mailman for many many years. He fought in the war, and was a funny wiseass, like Bugs Bunny. I loved him so much. It probably won't seem real that he's gone until I go home for either a service or xmas... that will be hard.

So, me and Scott dined at El Conquisador last night. A first for me. the decor was cool, but the food was so-so. We did eat right beside Lily Tomlin though... And she's in that new movie, I Heart Huckabees... gotta see that, whatever it's about. Dropped off Scott this morning at the Museum of Natural History... hope he has fun learning. They have an insect zoo!!!! I love insect zoos. Except for the spiders of course, but they shouldn't have spiders in an insect zoo, because they aren't really insects, right? Anyway... Starting to rethink not going home for xmas... better start researching tix to clt, it's only 2 months away! So, my weekend was fun with Wayne! He is definitely the best guest i've had so far this fall. I feel pretty wellrested now surprisingly. I was so tired from Vegas that I spent a lot of time in bed this weekend, making poor Wayne very bored I'm sure. Oh well. I need my beauty sleep after all. We went to a lot of my favorite restaurants, and I showed him ALL the sites! I know my city better now than ever before. It's so nice to just drive around. California is crazy. Wayne comes tonight. Yay! Elle's been running around naked all day in anticipation. So, Sunday, the last day in Vegas... the family was finally gone, leaving me and Leigh to our own devices. We slept late again, and went for a pretty sucky buffet brunch at the Alladin. Then we met up with mark and Beth to say goodbye, and we headed up to the Stratosphere for what we thought would be good gambling. Well, Leigh lost 120 bucks right away. Left there, and went uptown. I had to start paying for everything, cause Leigh had no more moolah left on her, but she gave me 100 later... anyway... DOWNTOWN was fucking awesome. Should have been there the whole time. So old school with the lights and all that. Went to all the different casinos: 4 Queens, Golden Nugget, Binion's Horseshoe, and Fitzgerald's... Fitzgerald's had a Limerick's Steakhouse. Leigh took some pics of the sign. When it got dark, we went to find a good place to take pics of the lights and I gave 2 bucks

So, Saturday in Vegas turned us to a different path. We weren't really winning money anymore, and trying desparately to hold on to our previous winnings. We slept pretty late, and finally rose at about noon. I thought Leigh should see the Venetian, so we went up there for lunch. We were ravenous, and ate like a loaf of bread. Sorry Dr Atkins. But we were never that close. After lunch, we met up with everybody and then went with Dad to the Bonanza gift shop. A basic place to buy all your cheap Vegas crap. I spent 60 dollars. Then, we went for a drink at the Sahara, and watched an Elvis impersonator for a while. I took a short nap, and then we met Dan and Wendy at the Bellagio for a pre-O snack. Then, I finally got to see all of O. It was good, but weird. Amazing what they can do with their bodies. Freaks. Then, me and Leigh stayed up til about 4 again at the Excalibur, which is the cheesiest Strip casino, by the way. But we didn't want to go too far away. Stay tu

So went to bed at 7pm last night, slept thru my alarm for 2 hrs this morning, and woke up at 10! I am temporarily revived. That means maybe I'll be alive while Wayne is here this weekend. Of course I'll probably be worn out again after! So, On to the most interesting day of my Vegas trip, Friday. Woke up really early. like 7am. I think all the east coasters were rubbing off. So, then we all, including Mark and Beth had breakfast at Mandalay Bay. MMMM, yummy french toast. Then, my uncle Dan went nuts. We got a 40 ft white SUV limo for the day, with leopard plush and the whole deal. That's my second limo in a week! First place we went was THE GUN STORE. That's right. An indoor shooting range. I, Leslie Limerick, have shot my first and probably only machine gun. An MP5 or something. It was fun. Crazy. I got to keep my target. I kicked it's ass. Can't wait to get home, see my baby, and go to sleep. I almost fell asleep driving to work today. Had to come straight from the airport. But anyway, Vegas was loads of fun, despite some family obstacles along the way. Overall, a great time. In fact, I had such a great time that I will recount each day on this blog. But I am too tired to do it all at once, so today I will start with Thursday. Oh, and by the way, when I got into the office, my latest paycheck was waiting for me... amazing. I went and actually opened up a savings account. SO- Thurs afternoon I arrived in Vegas, met Leigh at our hotel room, and then we went and surprised Dad, while they were eating lunch at Caesar's. He was completely floored. He couldn't speak for 5 minutes! It was great. He even teared up a little. Very sweet. And it was so good to see my aunt and uncle. Hadn't seen them for about 2 years. There was a 6.0 earthquake this morning in Central Cali, and was supposedly felt here. I dint feel nothin. By the way, we got paid finally... now, about Thursday's pay... yeah right. LL

How does Paris Hilton do it? So, I had my first LA trendy night on Saturday. Very interesting. Had a great dinner at Deniro's restaurant AGO and then took a limo to the IN club at the moment, Shelter. It took forever to get in, and once we did, cause we "knew" somebody, there were nothing but the stereotypical young skanky girls and hardly any men. Not my scene at all. But I went, I saw, that's enough for me. My first and probably last club experience. It was nice to hang out with the NYC folks some more though. Went to hang at the Four Seasons with the Kenyans again last night. Hotel life is good. They have become spoiled by room service. I had the craving for chocolate cake, so we just ordered the best choc cake in the world right up! Along with tea, ice cream, pellegrino, beer, and fruit. Aaaaah, the pampered life. I could get used to it. So, thanks to my exboss Kevin, from MMX, I have an interview at Focus Features on Monday to be the assistant to the head of publicity. Pay is officially a week late now. Starting to get worried about several things including, but not limited to: oh, my negative checking balance, paying rent, paying bills, money for Vegas next week, eating... I need a new freakin job pronto! Sending out 10 resumes a day plus is good right? One thing is bad though... i'm running out of stamps and can't afford more! And i got a papercut on my tongue from licking envelopes. I'm sure it will work out, but jeez... LL

I got a random call from the lovely Naisola yesterday afternoon. It turns out that she and Mark are in town this week!! He is in town working on the Kerry movie, and they're in a fabu suite at the Four Seasons. I went over and hung out with them and drank too many cocktails by the pool yesterday. Lots of stars had been staying there for the Emmys, but they had mostly left, but i did see LL Cool J. Anyway... Bruno, Naisola's French friend was there, so I finally got to meet him! We went to Alegria near me for yummy Mexican food. They met Elle too, and of course loved her. Also, our waitress at the Four Seasons turned out to be Jill's friend, Lesley! We just saw each other on Saturday! Such a small world. Well, gotta go work on resume sending... LL

So, I have started this week out great. Come in today, and find out my boss is dicking us around again. We were supposed to be paid on the 15th, and of course weren't, and then were supposed to be paid this weds, but now that's pushed again! He is soooo playing us. Everyone is looking for work... this really sucks. And i have noooooooo money. But what's new? Anyway, had an ok weekend. Jill's party was fun. My knitting class was good. I am working on my first poncho. Very exciting. Well, I guess I need to go send out resumes again. LL

It's crazy I know. I am officially a Grade A nerd. I have started a blog. That's what happens when you get bored at work. Anyway... I'm gonna try to actually keep it up, but it may just be another of my whims... Nothing much exciting going on this week. I returned last weekend from my whirlwind NC tour. I was sick the whole time but had a good time nonetheless. Of course, my sickness interfered with seeing a lot of people i wanted to but, such is life. I am just now getting over it... i finally got some antibiotics. This weekend, I'm partying with my girl Jill for her bday, the big 27! Woo hoo! Such an old fart. ha. And i'm taking a second set of knitting classes, this time to do a killer poncho... so cross your fingers, and maybe you'll get a knitted surprise for xmas. i've been churning out scarves like a madwoman. I did my best one yet on the NC trip. I had a dream about Zach Braff last night. I love him. Anyway... that's a good starter
