awesome. BUT i did get all my pay for the last 3 weeks, plus any outstanding vacation time i had. so that should pay for my apt move in expenses. Going for drinks with coworkers later, but then i HAVE to finish packing since the truck comes tomorrow. haha I hope to be able to write about my journey next week, but i don't know what internet access will be like..... so we'll see. I am happy and sad. Happy to have a change. Sad to leave cause I actually like my job. Last night, went to dinner with Marri, Bryan, Christine, and Julie and it was divine. Today, went to lunch with Brent and Pete and it was lurvley. Gotta pack tonight. And having dinner one last time at Nicky D's with Mike and Beige. I have to do a lot tomorrow, like finish changing my address and stuff. I leave California in just 4 days! Wow. Doesn't seem real yet. LL

I was born a 10 lb 9 oz blood clot 31 years ago today. Yay. LL

Last night rocked. Erin let me sing 4 times! I sang Crazy on You, Home Sweet Home, More Than a Feeling, and then Almost Paradise with Jonathan. I'm tired as you can imagine. I was really surprised when I was presented with a group bday/goodbye gift. They gave me a insulated bag for the road trip filled with snacks, drinks, a game, a Silverlake tee, a mix cd inspired by the Big Foot, a gas card, and a Target card!! so nice. I cried. Salvation Army supposedly picked up the huge pile of stuff I left outside today, so that's gone. Still have to get rid of the school desk and the dry erase board though. I found someone to take the thigh exerciser. Tonight I have to pack pack pack. LL

My yard sale was a bust. I only made 50 bucks, and have tons of stuff left. Salvation Army is supposed to come by and pick up most of it tomorrow. Oh well. At least i'll get a big write off next year. I finished square 13 of the blanket... 3 to go. I can do it! Maybe i'll get a lot of knitting done on the road trip at the hotels at night. My last karaoke is tonight, so it's gonna be a late one. Hope to sing my 3 songs. LL

at least tomorrow is friday. i have a lot of packing to do tomorrow though. and then up at the butt crack of dawn on sat. tonight though, i'm going to knit at Unwind until Rochelle gets off, and then we're gonna get pizza. i have been neglecting the baby blanket. but I did finish square 12. so i just have the dark green left and the seaming. i am getting really excited about living in a huge apartment. and having a dishwasher. woo hoo! i'll feel like a grown up. LL

But I have to finish by Saturday so I can invite the yard sale crazies into my apt to buy my stuff. All I want to do these days is go home and crash.

I leave in exactly 2 weeks. So much to do still. I need to pack everything this week, so I can have a moving sale on saturday. Tonight's my last chance to try out new material at the Big Foot karaoke.... next week I'm singing my greatest hits. I can't believe the Va Tech shootings. That's f-d up. LL

I have exactly 2 weeks left of work here. Still nothing from Adam & Eve. Poo. But Paul just wrote a great rec letter for me, so maybe that will help. Update on the drive cross country: Meemaw is going with me! I bought a ticket for her yesterday. That should be interesting. Maybe even fun. Me, Meemaw, and the babies. Won't stay in Nashville 2 nights anymore though. I'm sure our travels will be slower now. I'm going to a party tonight, but I have a lot of packing and stuff to do this weekend. I want to get it done, so I can have a real apt sale next weekend. Gotta get rid of my stuff! Taking the pets to the vet tomorrow for shots and a check up. Can't really afford it, but I need to go. Eek! LL

I got the apartment I wanted! Beth looked at it and said it was fine. I am very excited, though I will not have much to put in all the space I will have. I move in on May 5th. It is at a complex called Bridges at Southpoint in Durham near Southpoint Mall. Yay! And less than 2 miles from Beth. Spent a long weekend in San Fran with the girls, and I loved it there. Though I am totally out of shape and we did A LOT of walking. I feel really old. I could totally live there, though I won't. But it's yet another city that I am now familiar with how to get around. I got some awesome yarn at Art Fibers. That was our first outing on the trip. It rocked. I haven't been feeling that well for like a week now. I don't know if it's allergies or what... it sucks. Sore throat, cancer sores, and general ickyness. Karaoke was fun on Monday, but I was tired, so I stayed for my song and left. It was Dance Party night, so I was very sweaty. I only have 2 more mondays left at the Big Foot

I got approved for a great apartment in Durham today. It's really close to Beth, so she's gonna go take a look tomorrow just in case. But it seems awesome. My application was approved, and I paid the fee to hold it. So it's mine if I want it. All depends on what Beth thinks of it. It is a one bedroom, one bath, 870 sq ft place. It has a dishwasher (!), washer and dryer hookups, fireplace (!), built in bookcases, walk in closet, deck, storage room, central air (!), and a SUN ROOM!!! aka the Knitting/Guest Room! That is what really sold me. The property has a pool, tennis court, and fitness center too. Cross your fingers. Applied for a Marketing Coordinator position at Adam & Eve today that I really want! Wish me luck. LL

A very busy month! I'm moving, it's my birthday, several friends' bdays, and trying to get stuff done before I leave the West Coast. I've been here 3 years and I've hardly gone anywhere. Never been to San Diego, Mexico, San Fran, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, OR the Grand Canyon. Blast it! I did make it to Hawaii and Vegas though. And I'm going to San Fran this weekend. I guess the reason is I mainly used my vacation time to go back East for visits while I was living here. Well, now I can visit family and stuff on weekends and shorter stays, and make trips to places out here... and maybe even Europe one day. And I'd like to go to Orlando sometime fairly soon too. And I hope to make it to the Vermont cabin sometime in the summer. We'll see. I have a feeling a lot of weekends will be spent going to see Leigh, Chuck, and Colin. I went to Mike and Beige's for poker on friday, and for the first time I won!!! 100 bucks too. That will help with this weekend
