Had a lovely time at the beach...

with my girls (with purls). I love those purl girls. We stayed at an awesome house i found in oak island, very close to southport. We went to a great yarn store in southport too. I was good and didn't buy *too* much. Don't have much time to knit these days anyway!!

I didn't even make it to the sand though. Supposedly it was beautiful and the water was perfect, but I laid eyes on an extremely comfy recliner when i walked in the house and basically didn't move much from it whenever we were at the house.

I missed DJ like crazy, but I will be in town the next couple of weekends at least so that's good.

The week's almost over!!

It's been an eventful week in good and bad ways. Tues, I got an intestinal attack for a few hrs at work. It was awful. Then, yesterday, I had a screw in a tire on my car. It was easy to fix though. Then last night, i had my otehr crochet class, and I learned the treble stitch, granny squares, circles, spirals, and little urchin like things called bouillons!! It's like a whole worl of possibility opened!! After my bunny slippers I'm gonna make a crochet top from the Happy hooker book, to see how I fare at a real garment. It's appropriately called Cupcake. I also found a dress to wear to the weddings I'm going to this fall, and it was cheap! Yay!! One less thing to worry about. Tonight is the premiere of Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, and the Office. Yippeee!!!!!!!! LL

Happy Friday the 13th!

I have exactly 2 weeks left of work here. Still nothing from Adam & Eve. Poo. But Paul just wrote a great rec letter for me, so maybe that will help. Update on the drive cross country: Meemaw is going with me! I bought a ticket for her yesterday. That should be interesting. Maybe even fun. Me, Meemaw, and the babies. Won't stay in Nashville 2 nights anymore though. I'm sure our travels will be slower now. I'm going to a party tonight, but I have a lot of packing and stuff to do this weekend. I want to get it done, so I can have a real apt sale next weekend. Gotta get rid of my stuff! Taking the pets to the vet tomorrow for shots and a check up. Can't really afford it, but I need to go. Eek! LL
