Before I get going to LA, I wanted to post these pics that Erin sent from our Disney adventure...

It was raining this morning and freezing on the roads and car!! It was crazy. We got our first significant snow over the weekend, about an inch. OK, I'm ready for spring. It'll be nice to get to LA next week, where hopefully it will be nice. I went on a blind date on friday. We ended up going to the Carolina Hurricanes hockey game and had front row, right behind the glass! It was a lot of fun. The guy was nice. Not someone I'd pick out in a million years on my own, but I'm willing to give him a shot. Maybe he'll grow on me? Of course, he'd have to call me again for that to happen. He either doesn't like me (impossible!!) OR was waiting until work today to ask Mark what I said about him... I'm busy the next few weekends anyway. Still loving my job. Anyone need a Prostate Pleaser? LL

So, AVN needs my help and asked me if I would come out for a few days. I told them they would have to ask Adam & Eve since I just started and all... well, they did, and A&E agreed to let me go, without pay of course. but that's ok, cause avn will be paying me. and flying me out, getting me a hotel, and car. yay!! surprise visit to LA! I'm going Jan 28-Feb 1. I was supposed to go up to Hendersonville this weekend for Ginny's 2nd wedding reception, since couldn't go to the first... but i think the roads up there will be too much for my little car. and I'm broke. STILL haven't gotten another check from unemployment for Dec. But I have a blind date today... somebody Mark and Beth, well Mark, is setting me up with... we'll see. It'll at least be good to maybe make a new friend. LL

I went to the opening day of my new neighborhood Chick Fil A last night. It was crazy busy. And I got a free little stuffed cow! Anyway... my cashier, who was in training and very slow, was this teenager. To me, he looked 17 or 18ish... but then I heard a manager ask him for his birth year. 1992! Oh my god. I remember when I felt old hearing people say they were born in the 80's, but THE 90s? This guy must be 15, maybe barely 16! 1992 was over 15 years ago already? And he was BORN????? Makes 1976 sound ancient. Do you feel my pain? LL

We are undefeated so far, 16-0... went to game last night with Mark V UNCA... they have a giant on their team, literally. Dude is 7 ft 7 in... crazy. Unemployment checks take forever. It takes over 2 weeks to get one. Um, hello. I need the money. I won't get a real paycheck from job for another 2 weeks. I's gots bills ta pay! And I'm still fighting with Duke over my lack of Thanksgiving pay. i was supposed to leave for vegas today. sad. LL

and Red just said the best thing! "Snore Pie with Yawn Sauce"... haha Work still going swimmingly. I actually feel important and stuff. I even went to a meeting today! I'll be starting to help out with charity stuff for the company... It was lovely today, wish it would stay this way. I just had some frozen samosas that were yuck!! ew. I'm working on Justin's scarf like a madwoman, and it looks ok, but kind of wonky in a couple of spots where the yarn got weirdly thinner. I'll try blocking but don't know how much it'll help... My apt is a mess with xmas stuff everywhere! I am wading thru it trying to organize it in boxes and bins. I have one bin full and done... I've also got piles of papers scattered across my bedroom floor, as I'm trying to catch up with 8 months of filing and pulling out 2007 tax stuff. My skin is so dry and itchy. ick. LL

I like my new job so far. I just wish I could go to Vegas next week. Maybe next year. I left my cell charger at Anne's and still haven't gotten it back. I'm slowly running out of charge... oops. I'm starting to get my apt in order after the holiday shower of gifts... I'll take down the decs this weekend, and try to organize them since I have so many now. LL
