Gonna try this again...
Hey, it's me. I abandoned this thing last summer, but I'm gonna give it another go. Mainly to keep you people who I never talk to in my loop.
So, a recap since last summer... I'm still at AVN and I still like it, but I have a new boss and he wants me in by 9am if not 8:30 every day. ugh. i'm used to jobs where I get in at 10! but i'm getting used to it, and I can leave earlier. The porn convention and awards last month was a blast. Went to a bunch of parties, and worked in our booth, so I was nonstop and so run down. It was worth it, but I got sick for a week when I got back.
I still do karaoke on mondays but not as often. Haven't been hanging out with my "group" as much. Mainly just hang out with Marri and Beige and alone at home with the animals. And I'm pretty ok with it. Wish I was having sex, but you can't have it all. My time to shine will come again I suppose. At least I have porn in my life.
I went to the East Coast over the holidays and had a pretty good time. I was all over the place. I started in DC, then on to WV, then to NC. Being around everybody back there and having El Rodeo really got to me this time, soooooo I am finally gonna move after pushing it and pushing it and pushing it. My date set is April 30th. I'll drive across country and arrive in NC by May 4th I hope. I am planning on settling in Durham, but we shall see. I want to get a job at Adam & Eve, but we'll see if that works out. If I don't do that, I don't know what the hell I'll do! Can't quite open a knitting store yet... not till I'm more out of debt.
Times have been tough lately in the financial dept. I lost my part time job at the knitting store in the fall, and I really needed that extra money. It's been nice having my weekends free again, but hard. That's another reason I'm moving. My rent's going up next month, and it will be almost as much as when I lived in NY!
The biggest news is that my older sister Leigh is pregnant. She's having a boy and naming him Colin Henry. Colin Henry Rosenecker. So I will be an aunt! I have been working on a blanket for the not-so-little guy (he's already way above average size)... I have 3 out of 16 squares done, so hopefully it will be done by May when he will arrive. I CAN DO IT!!! I have a feeling I'll suddenly be knitting a lot of baby stuff.
