Valentine's Week is Upon Us

Last night was a special Valentine's edition of karaoke... so it was supposed to be all love and break up songs. I sang one of each and rocked the house! I sang My Cherie Amour and You're No Good. I will miss karaoke mondays. I'll need to find a group of people in NC to do something like that regularly with. Cause I know the mommies Beth and Katie won't! Haha! Angela, will you save me? I met this guy last night and always the conversation turned to porn. People are so fascinated!
Good news on the baby blanket front... I finished the yellow, so one quarter of it is done. I'm ahead of schedule, but still cranking away. Me and Marri went to Knitzilla last night, we hadn't been in a while, and hardly anyone showed up! Maybe they were celebrating Lincoln's bday?? It was weird, but alas we got some good knitting done.
Then I took the poker table top I got from work and gave it to Mike. I felt like a gambling angel, he was so excited. Now he can have awesome poker parties. He better have another one before I leave. I want to try to redeem last time's loss. I love poker. I hope I can find folks in NC to play.
Also getting geared up for the Grilled Cheese Invitational, which is the 24th. We'll have a practice round on Saturday, and I plan to enter Beige's delicious concoction even if she doesn't enter. I will represent Rowena Ave. Maybe a win this year?

The remainder of 2020... that pandemic thing continues

  Summer 2020- since everyone was home and still quarantining, little pools were hard to find one. I snagged one from Target at 4 in the morning one night, and we used it a lot! Grandad came to visit  More Summer fun, and first lost tooth! Fall and Halloween fun! Some with our one "safe" family in the neighborhood. The start of Jim's pandemic hair. Jammie visited for the first time in 10 months for her bday! December was Aunt Leigh's 50th bday, but since we couldn't see her I had special cookies made! Other December and Holiday fun, including a fancy photo shoot with Jennifer On to 2021, when this pandemic will surely be over, RIGHT?

Oh boy.... 2020 started off strong... but then... the world fell to ***

 Jan 2020 kicked off with a bang, it was gonna be my best year yet, right????  Me, Jim, and Jennifer went to a Xanadu themed screening and party. My favorite movie!! We had an awesome full company conference in Charlotte... And Kelsey had an amazing 4th birthday party with Elsa and friends. Feb went pretty well too, with Valentine's Day... And snow... And a girl's trip with friends to Wilmington! And I started getting acupuncture! BUT THEN.... the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. What we thought would be a short quarantine, turned into a loooooonnnnnngggg year, with Kelsey at home, working from home, not seeing people for a while, and using Zoom for meetings A LOT. We found out Kelsey has bad reactions to bee stings...  But we managed to have a few fun moments by doing this new thing called SOCIAL DISTANCING, and wearing FACE MASKS.
