My Favorite Things

I have decided to start posting random posts of "My Favorite Things", or things that make me happy. These are things that no matter what is going on, I am guaranteed to smile. Some are absurd, some are obvious, and some are just plain silly. Kinda like me. And while these things are very nice, they don't include brown paper packages tied up with string (i like color), snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes (that would annoy me), or raindrops on roses (that would just be messy if you picked the roses)...

Update on me

What's new? Well, I'm moving back to NC, Charlotte to be exact at the end of August, most likely. I do karaoke every Monday night with a new group of friends and we rock it out. I'm going to Hawaii in June and I still don't have anyone to go with me. EEK! LL

BEWARE the IDES of MARCH

Today's History Lesson: The ides of March is one day that continues to appeal, marked because that was the date that Julius Caesar was assassinated in the senate, in 44BC. Its modern-day memory is thanks, like so many things, to Shakespeare's way with words. In act one, scene two of Julius Caesar, Caesar asks a soothsayer what the future holds. Caesar: Who is it in the press that calls on me? I hear a tongue, shriller than all the music Cry "Caesar!" Speak. Caesar is turn'd to hear. Soothsayer: Beware the ides of March. I've decided to educate you guys a little bit more instead of just filling you in on what i eat, etc. Maybe I'm inspired my my new magazine subscription to Mental Floss... hmmm. we'll see how long it lasts.
